The best design web design comes through user research and a multi-disciplined design team who stay with the project from kick-off to launch.
As a global company, any extensive project involving Logitech’s corporate web site and online stores had to have major stakeholders involved from the USA, Switzerland, and Germany. Logitech provided a team including stakeholders and also representatives from corporate IT, Support, Business, and Marketing. Logitech flew their European team members over to the USA for kick-off activities and design workshops. Later, the Tristream user research team flew to Switzerland to do user interviews in Switzerland and Germany.
Tristream fielded a team which included a senior producer, project manager, experience designers, visual designers, html scripters, and a back end liaison expert.
As the project heated up, to facilitate Logitech’s need for a very fast-track schedule, Tristream sent their experience design director and other team members to set up operation in a "cubbie" right next to Logitech’s project director’s office at corporate headquarters, San Jose, CA. This enabled daily design review and approval meetings, as well as quick, in-the-moment, stand-up brainstorming, design and approval huddles.
